Personna Red. For me, the smoothest, irritation-free shave results from using these blades in a blue-tip Suoerspeed. I had quite a few perfect shaves with Feathers, but I frequntly got weepers. Astra SPs are second to the Personna Reds for me.

I use a different brand of blade and different razor every day.

My favorite is what ever I am using today

There is no difference in the Feathers from the black vs. yellow packaging.

Shark Super Chrome, Astra Super Platinum, Bluebird.

All relatively cheap so I toss them after one use and use a fresh blade every time.

Although I have used many, many blades over many, many years, Shark Super Chrome's are perfect for me (my one & only 'holy-grail go-to' blade), with no pulling or tugging, moderately sharp, very, very smooth, (albeit a 'weeper' now & then..but zero 'nicks'), very little to no irratation and no touch of razor burn that %99.9 of the time results in CCS's in 3 passes (WTG, CTG & ATG), with 2 great shaves per week (Saturdays are my shaving 'day off'),...and are very compatible with both of my Merkur 23C & 38C razors.

I'm torn with this post - After my 'love for Derby' posts, I think I'm going to make my call and say that the Derby's are my current favorites. I'm really enjoying how forgiving they are for me as a novice wetshaver.

I dove right into DE shaving and bought a box of 100 Personna Med Preps. Nice blades, but I should have sampled first. Turns out that Feathers are my go-to blade. They result in much less blood-loss for me.

Schick Plus Platinum, or the Gillette 7 O'Clock Black Super Platinum, which is a modern simulacrum of the Schick.

I like Feathers like many do. Unfortunately they are too expensive to be practical. So the next best I can find is the Rapira brand. Nearly as sharp as the Feathers but affordable for the cost sensitive user like myself.
