Personna Reds and GBE's are pretty much a tie for me. Feathers are a no go for me.

To date, the current US made Personnas, Astra SP, Feather New High Stainless, and Shark brands all deliver fabulous shaves for me. A bunch of Derby blades are on the way, but I'm beginning to think that if someone happens to have any of the top ten blade brands, their shaving needs are well taken care of for the duration. I love to try new blades, so I spend money despite the fact that I have enough blades to keep 10 people smooth for years. Then again, even at Feather prices, DE shaving is still a bargain compared to the cart scam....

7 O' Clock Blacks is without a doubt my favorite in any razor.

Shark SC - smootha nd sharp, consistently get a very close, comfortable shave

Racer - comfortable and smooth. Not the sharpest but still close enough and the comfort makes then a favourite

I need a bit more experience with Feather before giving a judgement.

I also enjoy Astra SP and Asco blades as well but Shark and Racer have been consistently my favourites so far. In fact the only blade I haven't got on with is Derby.

I am finding more and more- there is no steadfast favorite in blades. If you have good prep and technique, any decent blade should work well for you. That said- I prefer Derby because it is an excellant blade at a very excellant price.

Four months into DE shaving, I'm settling into Astra SP's. Persona Red and Feather were out of my league but, I'll be giving them (and others) another go as my skills improve.

Been using my Futur with Merkur for years and loved it. But recently wanted to try the famous 34C and it's currently my favorite and since then I put in a Merkur, Feather and a Derby. Feather is my favorite so far but found there are many factors to the results you get; it's more than just the blade it's the shaver itself, and also the pre-shaving products you use. So far Feather has my vote.

Red Personnas are all I use anymore, with an occasional Feather here and there.

I keep sampling many others and seem to always come back to feathers at the very next blade change.
Why? It provides a great shave everytime.
merkur Futur most days used, however when i use less agressive razors i tend to use other blades and it does not seem to be much of a problem. My futur likes feathers only.

+1 I absolutely love this blade so far. I tried the yellows which were great and was able to snag 100 of the blacks and haven't been disappointed.

Feathers aren't very smooth and forgiving as I have nicked myself when using them.

I'm looking forward to trying some other blades plpenn PIFed to me such as the Vohskod, Rapira, Big Ben, Gillette Super Tins both Thailand and Vietnam and some others. I thought my blade search was over but alas... not until I try EVERYTHING.

I feel like I am stuck with Feathers in a slant bar. It's the only combo that gives me a smooth shave. Yes, Feathers aren't as smooth, and they'll nip, but that's what it takes for me. I've tried going back to Yellows & Med Preps, but they don't cut it for me, unfortunately. But, I'll give them a go again someday. I'm the eternal optimist.

My favorite blade doesn't get much love and is a part of the Russian Gillette blade family, the Gillette Rubie. Sharp as all get out, smooth, and nice longevity. It dies gracefully.

    1 Feather
    2 Personna Lab/Meds (tied)
    3. Astra SP

though I have a number yet to try - so this may change (thanks Kooze)

but the last week or so I've drifted back to shaving solely with my straights....
