Looks like the Dior might be there to stay!

DH is as close as I've ever gotten to a signature scent. Love everything about it.

DHI is a great evening scent and great in the colder weather, but not as versatile as DH. I can wear DH anytime, anyplace.

I'm sure like most folks here you have a keener sense of smell than I do, Schad. You should give Divine L'Homme de Coeur a try, if you haven't already. It gets described a lot as being very similar to DH. I wore it yesterday and see the similarity, but don't think they are exactly the same especially in the opening. I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Since DH and DHI are your favorites, I imagine you would have a more sensitive awareness of the similarities and differences.

Some good ones Schad, but Tauer's Lonestar Memories or at least LDDM are missing from your top 10.

I did not like LDDM at all. Have never tried Lonestar Memories.

I do want to try Divine L'Homme de Coeur. I have heard the comparison to DH. Interestingly, unlike the others that get compared to DH the Divine scent was made BEFORE DH.

Well if you didn't like LDDM, I highly doubt you would like LM. Not that they are the same, but they aren't worlds apart either...

Very nice top ten bud! I could definitely swing with that. I havent had a chance to try Guerlain Cologne du 68 or Creed Windsor but a definite thumbs up on the others. I need to get me a bottle of Musc Ravageur asap! And I love Kenzo Power but I had too many floral fragrances so I ended up trading it. Decided to keep my Hanae Mori over it.

I've never had the opportuniy to try any of the Tauer perfumes but I've had LDDM and Incense Extreme on my wishlist for a while. I really need to jump on their website and do their sample pack before I drop that kind of $ on a bottle of anything.

Make sure you sample Musc Rav first if you haven't already. It is a love or hate fragrance - some people think it smells like sex....some thing it smells like a zoo...LOL. I personally love it and made it my SOTD yesterday.

Creed Windsor is amazing. Some find it feminine...I don't see that. It is unisex and a masterpiece.

Cologne du 68 is more a sentimental thing for me and I don't think others will like it as much as I do.. It is the classic guerlain "guerlinade" feel that I like. I can't wear the older Guerlains including Habit Rouge, as I find they smell dated. But Cd68 is a modern take on Guerlain....best of both worlds.

Would also add Diptyque Eau Duelle to honorable mention list. If you like vanillas but find most not masculine, you might like this. Vanilla + touch of incense.

Schad I think it's time you stepped up to the Zino plate. But maybe not until the weather cools a little. It's a classic, but I think it fits in with your list.

Tell me more about Zino. I am not familiar with them, though I've heard about it on these forums.

    Davidoff's Zino:

    Top Notes
    Bergamot, Clary Sage, Lavender, BrazilianRosewood

    Middle Notes
Lily of the Valley, Rose, Jasmin, Geranium

    Base Notes
Tonka Bean, Sandalwood, Cedar, Patchouli, Vanilla

Launched in '86. I guess you could say it is a powerhouse of sorts, but it doesn't really have that typical 80's vibe to me. Some say it was ahead of it's time. Not a gourmand, but maybe a bit of gourmand-ish properties in the base. It's a spicy oriental that some say shares similarities with Armani Code. I much prefer Zino and don't see a huge connection. This one also gives off a bit of a dark, rich, sweet, tobacco vibe (I guess it's the fermented rose, cedar, and vanilla talking.)

It's rumored to be discontinued, but can still be had and doesn't seem to be "unavailable." Haven't owned this scent since the 90's, but all of this talk is making me think I need to go ahead and pick up a bottle this fall. It does seem like more of a cool weather scent to me.

Have you tried Guerlain SDV? IIRC I liked it better than TI. I could be mistaken, it's been awhile.

I have not tried the Divine of the Dior.

I found SDV too sweet. I liked it at first, and will probably go back to my decant when winter arrives. It is vanilla extract. Smells like dessert, not a cologne.
