Default Recommendations? - Unscented, Paraben, Alcohol free ASB

As the title states, I'd like an ASB that is unscented, paraben & alcohol free. A more natural choice with fewer ingredients would be nice. Any suggestions or reviews? Thanks in advance, Gents.

Razors don't shave people. People shave people!

I don't think that quite has the soothing qualities I look for in an ASB

Clarins Men After Shave Soother...works well for me (and i've got sensitive skin)

Nivea Sensitive ASB also works well for me...it's unscented and alcohol free

Tx Twister. The Nivea might work.
    Anybody try this?

I generally hate balms, but I have a bottle of the old formulation Proraso. Good stuff. It has a very faint herbal scent, but even unscented products smell like something. You could do worse.

Nice pugs, by the way. Greatest dogs in the world.

You can try Everyman Jack Post Shave Lotion. No parabens,no alcohol .And it comes in either Mint or unscented.
The Nivea Sensitive Balm would be a great choice, but its not exactly "unscented".It has a faint scent to it,but goes away after awhile.

The Gentlemen's Refinery has an unscented ASB, it's not cheap though...

To me, you sound perfectly suited for witch hazel use. I've used Dickinson's (blue label) in the past and it's wonderful, but it does have a very low percentage of alcohol and a distinct natural scent which some don't like (it grew on me). There are also the fancier Thayer's versions which come in the alcohol-free variety. Sounds like that might be exactly what you're looking for, based on your OP.

I was just about to post the same question about balms, so I was happy to see this thread already started.

I'm curious about the Proraso after shave cream as well. I bought some of their after shave lotion today and hated it, but that was my mistake: I didn't read the ingredients carefully and didn't realize that it was alcohol-based. Wow, did it ever sting! Not my style of after shave, I guess.

The Nivea sounds ok, with the added advantage of being reasonably cheap and available at the Walgreens or CVS.

I saw the recommendation for Clarin. I've used other products from their men's line and liked them very much. That might be worth a try.

If you find a balm you really like, please post your results here! I'll do the same if I find something I like.

Eucerin Does contain some alcohol. Also I hate Eucerin there body wash states that it is soap free. Here Is the ingredient list. Glycine Soja (Soybean Oil), MIPA-Laureth Sulfate, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Laureth-4, Cocamide DEA, Poloxamer 101, Laureth-9, Lanolin Alcohol, Water, Citric Acid, Diammonium Citrate, Propyl Gallate, BHT. Also here is where it says soap free. Dermatologist recommended
Gently cleanses and relieves dry itchy skin
Omega oils and other natural lipids soothe and moisturize
Mild lather rinses clean with no residue
    Fragrance, soap, and dye-free
(sorry for the tangent but I just want people to know that there is now a company saying that there product is not soap and is basically a detergent)
Im gunna stick with Mystic Water Soap and Dr.Bronners.

As for aftershave I would say Thayers witch hazel with aloe vera. If you need more moisturizing then add some glycerin to it. I was going to say TOBS Jermyn Street but that is not unscented.

I recently bought the Proraso AS balm pictured. I too was looking for a product that was alcohol-free, paraben free etc.
The Proraso has a mild, but pleasant scent, not offensive by any means. It should be noted that the scent does dissipate fairly quickly.
I like the balm so far, although it may be somewhat 'too moisturizing' for my already oily complexion. Time will tell....

Great...tx for the input. This might work for me, since my skin can sometimes dry out. I've been trying the nivea since it's so cheap and accessible, but the scent is not very pleasant imo.
