Like the other Alpa's, I believe it's Czech. I have not tried it.

Trolling through these threads is definitely bad for my wallet... I just ordered a bottle of Alpa Fougere. I'm logging out before I get into any more trouble!

I just received my package containing the Alpa Fougere from shoeboxshaveshop.com in Florida. It's my second order from this vendor and I have to say that they do a very nice job of carefully wrapping each item and boxing for safe delivery. They also included 3 different DE blades (for free) that I haven't tried... score! The Fougere is definitely an old school, classic scent. Not exactly what George Reeves' Clark Kent would have worn, more like what John Hamilton's Perry White would have worn. That's the best I'm going to do on a description of the scent! I slathered the stuff on about a half our ago and SWMBO just got a whiff as I am typing this review. She likes it! She likes it! Looks like I have a keeper! (talking about the aftershave... and the woman)

I've been searching for something to throw in my basket for a good price. Pulled the trigger on the Alpa Fougere. Blind buys...good times!

One of the countries I visited this summer was the Czech republic and I scored 3 different Alpa's; Chypre, Classique and Farao. I restricted myself to three because I didn't expect anything for the low prices they charged. After I opened them I must say I regret that a little; they are all very much old school but they are all well-balanced, pleasant and never overpowering. Especially the Farao is really nice but the other two are pleasant too but not typical masculine; they have a unisex kinda character.

I will pick up some more when I revisit the country for sure!

I definitely agree with the 'unisex' critique.... probably why my g/f likes it so much.

Got in the Fougere today. It's very nice. It reminds me a lot of the Clubman scent...minus the sweetness though. I really like it.

Bad news, I put on some Fougere today without telling SWMBO. She said, "What's that smell? Did you put on some baby powder?" Apparently, the novelty has worn off for her! Maybe, when baby powder was invented, they scented it with Fougere?
