Thiers Issard Ebay Purchase - What do you think?

Hi Guys,

I managed to bag this TI on Ebay last night - I've been after one for a while and although it looks in good order, I'm not sure about the tip end of the blade - is it badly worn I wonder (strange to be worn like this) or maybe it's just the camera angle?

The price I managed to get it for is suspiciously low, so I'm wondering...

Although my French isn't good, I can see the words 'Good Condition' etc

Hopefully it only needs a hone and general clean up.

Good razor at a good price, has a bit of hone wear, should only last you about 100 years more.

Yeah the toe looks honed out a bit, probably from using a paste to resharpen it over many years. It probably will need a good x-stroke during honing to compliment the smile. For what you paid for it should clean up well also and with a little mAS it may even shine.

Looks ok, says the edge is fine but the scales have been glued at the pivot.
in case anyone else needs French translating gimme a shout :)
