Goatee Shape Forming & Trimming

Hey i've been checking out the forum for a bit now and found some great articles. I have been planning on switching from my Fusion Power and learning how to wet shave with a de or straight edge for a while now, but my question is in regaurd to goatee maintenance & shaping.

Is there a better place (forum, website, etc.) that has information specific to growing and shaping a goatee?

I will admit that I was inspired to grow mine out after Leonidas in the recent 300 movie. http://www.aolcdn.com/pmms/productpagemovies/0f/07/2303869.

My main problem is that my goatee is too frizzly and hard to work with. I think i will try virgin coconut oil, as I read that will help to soften it. But I was also looking for advice on how to cut it to look sharp and styleish, i.e. learning about tapering, trimming, thinning, feathering, undercutting, channeling and fringing.

any sugguestions?

I will start this with interesting tutorials and information I find along the way for others who might read this later.

First off I do not want to get as crazy as this:

Interesting though fairly limited guide from a professional book:

its hard to keep the sides balanced, i usualy use a remington battery powered trimmer and then clean up the sides with my DE, the problem i have is that my hair is quite thick and holds water, so i get some skin irritations on my chin, once every 6-8 months i shave it off and regrow to avoid excessive skin damage,

I use an electric trimmer to maintain the actual Goatee and sideburns theb my DE to shave the remaining area. I have found that since switching to DE from Cartridge it is much easier to shape my Goatee and keep clean lines.
