Looking for scales for a C-mon special

I came into some razors this week, one of which is a C-mon special. it needs to be rescaled and I would REALLY like to find a matching razor, but with a crap blade. Anyone have one laying around their workbench?

I've had this question for a while, and it may be useful in this case.

Is it possible to move the decorative metal bits to generic/custom scales?

I've had this question for ages. I might have to buy a cheap straight and try it.

You can dissolve the plastic in acetone (the real stuff, not that watered down politically correct mix with scent that women use in nails nowadays :) ) or other type of solvent and this way retrieve the metal bits with no problem. I guess the hard part would be to put them back into some other handle :)

Keep us updated on how it works. I've seen a lot of broken scales that had cool ornamentation on them.
