I have only been shaving with a straight for a couple of months and I feel much better. The first month was like a medieval blood letting without leeches. For a short time I felt like I was getting worse. Keep at it and you will achieve that baby butt face you are looking for.

nononono,, after you shave, you take your finger and run it along the blade to wipe off the lather. then re apply.

Seriously, it's all part of the learning curve. Keep at it. There is nothing quite like the satisfaction of a great straight razor shave without any nicks, cuts, irritation, etc. It really makes my day. Everyone says that it takes 50-100 shaves to get it down pat. Once you do, you'll wish you could shave two or three times a day!

i dunno... maybe there is something wrong with my but i am WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY past 100 shaves and i still nick myself all the time.... *(and by nick i mean unscheduled pimple removal or slight weeper along jawline...)
