    Hi Brian,

I'm really considering one of your production pens but have a question regarding the nibs.

Have you considered selling an italic style nib as an option/upgrade instead of just fine, medium, broad?

I understand you will regrind a nib if someone sends the pen to you but would love to have the option of just buying the italic nib directly even if it was more costly.

I hope you don't mind the public question but I figured others might be interested in the answer as well.

    Good question.

Remember that I do have Italics sized 1.5, 1.9, and 2.3mm in #5 sized nibs. So this will work with the Pearlette, Mina, and Encore. However, these nibs require some manual work to get them to be compatible with my feeds. Essentially, I need to heat the feed and bend/form it to the nib to make it work well. For this reason, we don't advertise this with the Production Encore. With a Pearlette, Mina, or custom Encore, it would be no charge. With a Production Model Encore, it would be probably $10-20 extra for the feed manipulation.

I'm doing homework on stock italics for the #6 nibs now. I can't say much except that I'll know more in a month or so.
