I ordered some Black Swan in English Roses from Stylo dot ca but it is backordered until the 7th. I'll be camping at the post office from the 8th on if anyone is looking for me.
How are you fixed for blades?

    Default Pelikan Experts Please Identify.

Well, I couldn't resist this guy. I paid $50 for it. Good deal? Bad deal? Real? Fake?
I don't own any other Pelikan pens and I know nothing of the brand.
Which model is it? 200 or 400?
It's not very big that's for sure.
The nib has more flex than I was expecting. A pleasant surprise.

No band at the knob makes me think it's a 200. That cap top style is my favorite. If the nib and piston are ok it looks like a very good deal to me. Doug?

"Old-style" M200/250 green marbled, and yes, a good deal. Imprinted W GERMANY on the cap band would make it the earliest (pre '90) and often those steel nibs are extra springy.

The band at the knob Vlad refers to is a later addition to both M200 and M400 models. You're gonna love that old-modern.

Just delivered. Since I have been loving the eyedroppered Kaweco I got last week, I ordered another since they were only 20 bucks from our friends at the Goulet Pen Co. Medium nib this time.
    Also Edelstein Topaz and Tanzanite.

After using syngen't Hero w/Parker's Quink until it ran dry last week, I ran out and picked up a bottle of Blue-Black Quink for myself.

Thank you everyone! I do very much like it. I swore I wouldn't buy more, but this was too good to pass up (ok, maybe I'll get a Kaweco for the office).

Staples carries the 3 Parker Quinks (black, blue, blue-black) but sometimes they're hidden away.

I Picked up an old E. Faber in trade for a '73 SS (from a co-worker). The person I traded with has no information about the FP, other than it belonged to his mother-in-law. I’m hoping that someone in the forum can help me out with a little history.

At the Staples stores in the Los Angeles area, I've only ever seen Quink in black -- and usually just one bottle in each store, on a bottom shelf, in a dusty, tattered, sad-looking box. I don't really like the modern Quinks that much (and I especially dislike the blue-black, which always seems to dry into a barely legible teal) so the limited Quink selection never bothered me. I wish Staples would carry Sheaffer, Waterman or Pelikan inks -- really, any ink brand other than Parker -- instead, but I doubt that will ever happen.
