I'll definitely be there. As I haven't been to NYC in a while, I'll be doing some 'touristy' stuff and trying to not get too lost Friday night when I arrive. Just to warn you, I'm not the greatest at navigation in cities. I think it comes from living in a village of 3,000 people or so my whole life. That and the biggest city near me is home to a huge 100,000 people.

Also, is there a dress code for the restaurant you plan on meeting at? I'm a khakis & Hawaiian shirt kind of guy, but can dress up if I should.

Thanks, I was just asking because I know some places have a dress code ( or at least an appreciated dress level ). I'm definitely looking forward to this... it'll be my first real vacation in, well, hrm... 5 years?

Alright guys, count me in. I kept thinking about going to a few of the past ones you've had, just never did.
I'm not missing another one, it would be good to be able to put the face with the avatar.

I consider myself a pretty adventurous eater, and don't like to knock it till I try it. I just don't know about that haggis though.

I'm always up for meetups. If we have several within a couple of months to accommodate everyone, I'd be down with that.

I haven't committed fully to the shindig as of yet. However, I just found out that I have a wedding on the same day. (Luckily, it's not my wedding!) I, regretfully, have to officially RSVP as a decline.

I would recommend the WaterFront Ale House on 2nd Avenue and E. 30 street. Great BBQ sandwiches and other food-very nice selection of beer/ale. No haggis though.

Or Manchester's on E. 49th and Second - good eats and a great selection of UK beers/ales (at least as of two years ago).

Wish I was closer to New York. Would love to enjoy some haggis. BTW, it's much better if you pour wee dram over it.

Are any of you guys over 60? I don't want to show up and have people look at me like an old vintage ball-end tech.
