Is there any major differences? I know the cologne has menthol, is it noticeable in anyway that would change the scent/feel of the splash-on?

I own both and don't think there are any big differences in the two. They smell the same to me.

They are a bit different but not by much. The way they work on your skin is a bit different too... This would be the Mexican version of the Aftershave?

I would guess stronger scent in the cologne and glycol or glycerin in the lotion for moisturization.

Ha ha interesting there's a thread on this! I got this version of Brut on Amazon.de, the german version of Amazon. Notice it's by faberge not parfums prestige/unilever/helen of troy or whatever other distributor that deals with brut these days. It was also a fair bit more expensive than the non-faberge classic. Does anybody have any experience with this particular offering? I'm kind of hoping it's a bit longer lasting than the euro after shave I have, I'm waiting on a bottle of the vintage aftershave from e bay to come so it'll be interesting to compare all three. I have developed a bit of an obsession with Brut and in particular finding out if I can get close to the smell I remember so fondly from back in the day. If this product really is what it claims to be ie classic Brut from faberge then in theory it should come pretty damn close. Of course it might just be that I'm remembering the smell through rose tinted nostrils! Ps I'm sorry to hijack the thread![]()
My main question is I noticed the splash-on (not aftershave) is missing menthol while the cologne has it, and wonder if you can feel and/or smell the menthol in the cologne or if it's just something not noticeable.
Got my "Faberge" Brut from Amazon what a con! It was the standard cologne the only difference is I paid 10 euro more for it. I'm pretty pi**ed off, in the picture it was the faberge bottle and when i opened the box it was the non-faberge bottle. If I had of known that I would just have bought the standard one, which is a seperate listing, for ten euro less. It still smells really nice but not what it said it was.
Hello, I notice they still sell online the Brut with a medallion. Thing is, some versions have a box that say Brut and that it is an EDC, but other boxes say Faberge on them. I am assuming the ones without the name Faberge are Helen of Troy?
I have a bottle of Brut edc with the medallion. Classic is written under Brut. It's a Helen of Troy version. Not sure what you've found, though.

Here's a guess, one says cologne where the other says eau de cologne. I can be wrong but the eau de cologne would be stronger...

I'm thinking it may be NOS or the wrong picture. Either way, has anyone seen this version that says Faberge?

I bought the cologne at my grocers a few weeks back then last week I bought the Splash On. I like to use both for a change of pace. You can't argue with the price. as to the OP's question...the Splash On seems to be much weaker which I actually enjoy. I've been using the Spalsh On mainly as an A/S. Been thinking of trying the A/S but I've read some discouraging verbiage about it (Amazon reviews?) Anybody? I'd have to look somewhere besides my local grocer for it as they do not carry the A/S
now about menthol in Brut...I don't smell it. I get mainly lavender and oakmoss but no menthol

Just got my bottle of the Classic version of Brut...all I can say is wow! Lasts longer (five or so hours with very sparse spraying) and has a minty note that is very refreshing. For around $10 it's worth it for sure.
