    Default Phelps a little Unprofessional?

I saw Phelps get defeated last night. Is he too busy making commercials to train? Also I thought he was a bit unprofessional in his interview after his defeat.

    Thoughts?

I heard he only trained for six months on that event so it's no surprise he didn't win. As for after the race, I think he just honestly didn't know what to say because it had been such a long time from his last loss. People expect him to be a swim god, but give the guy a break.

    Yeah.

People want celebrities to be gods. Any time they don't meet the expectation, people are quick to jump all over them.

I feel like more people need to watch the old Charles Barkley "I am not a role model" ad.

    FTFY.

I heard he was visibly upset on the podium, getting his silver instead of gold. That's fine with me ... he doesn't win that many gold medals with an "I'm fine with silver too ... I'm just happy to be here" attitude. I expect decorum and civil behaviour, but I certainly don't begrudge a man a bit of frustration at not achieving his goals in those circumstances.

I read where Phelps trained for 6 years straight with no days off....ever. I'm not sure i belive the whole "He only trained 6 months before the olympics" article. If he did, and has won 2 Gold and 2 Silver is outstanding in itself. I'm just glad he's on our side. Ryan seems to have defeated hiself with his first lose. Who i think is being unprofessional is our basketball team. Lebron and Kobe over in the corner giggling like little school girls the whole game against Nigeria like it's some kind of joke. Even if you are creaming the other guys how about show some respect and be gentlemen about it.
