I little marco snap. I don't have an expensive camera (Sanyo 7.1 mp vpc-e760) but the battery lasts forever and it takes nice pictures...

I found that little guy outside this morning. He was trying to run away... Spiders are not nearly as big in Montreal compared to Oz but this one is a big one around here. Anyone knows which spider it is?

Playing around with my new macro filters.. For $15 it's a lot of fun. For this picture I hate how most of him is out of focus/ the shallow depth of field. Taken with a Canon 40D, Tamron 28-300 with a +2 and +4 macro filter. On my lawn chair which made for an excellent background.
Great pic of a Mantis...except he/she is not praying.

My wife and I went to a park today where I played around a bit with my 60 mm macro lens...







And this one I took the day after I purchased the lens (last weekend):



I'm pretty new with dslr's and macro lenses, about how far from those insects were you?
