...and Delamain, thanks! took many years and lots of failed relationships to amass the collection. I've actually reduced the pipes from over 200 to about 120ish some are unsmoked - for collection purposes only, but most are incredible smokers or have sentimental value. Pipes made my friends, and even my grandfather's old Dr Grabow from the early 30's. ;)

Fast and easy.

And here are my plans, hope they make sense?

    Looks GREAT John!

you may want to mimmick what they did with the stem holes - that will help tremendously in fitting the pipe stems in (especially on bents etc) you may still have to enter some in sideways and adjust for a perfect sitting position

Best of luck, can't wait to see the pics of it once finished!!! who knows you may end up making more, or even some DE or Straight razor racks in time!!! (I'm currently using a leather/wood for my straights and metal DE stand for the DEs :)

if you want some serious help with the project, here is a link to Ken lamb's page - he's one of the more talented pipe rack/Cabinet makers out there- and also is a machinist who can make chucks and the like for lathes and other pipe makeing tools, perfect for any budding pipemakers :) if you touch base please give him my regards, it's been years!!!

Wow! Gorgeous stuff, Joshua, but that's not what I'm aiming for. It will look like a high school shop project. If I'm lucky!
