The Semogue 2030b. This one has a metal handle and no it's not a travel brush.

Another vote for the SOC. It's my favorite boar. Some days it's my favorite brush period.

There's really nothing wrong with it. It's smaller and a bit less luxurious than the SOC, but it lathers as well as any boar I've used. I think people just ignore it because it was the cheapest Semogue available over here, so obviously the 830, 620, etc had to be superior. If anything I found the hair in it nicer than either of those (definitely nicer than the 620).

Just wanted to throw a vote for the Semogue 2000. I am a dedicated face latherer and while most on this site like a short loft for face lathering, I like a paint brush. It holds a lot of soap, yet it doesn't hog it (pun intended). I also agree with you - the undyed hair looks better, especially after she blooms.
Figure out what loft and density you like, then pick any Semogue - you won't be disappointed.

I'll chime in with some more love for the 1470. I own many Semogue boars to include the SOC and several LE's and the 1470 is my favorite of them all.

Always overlooked and underappreciated due to what I believe is an outstanding price

What he said. Have only used the 1305 5 or 6 times. Loved it right out of the box er, plastic. Amazing value for how it has performed. I got the 830 off b/s/t a while back. It was broken in perfectly by the prior owner and works great with creams and soaps. May have to step up to
an SOC based upon this thread.

Get the SOC Larry. You won't regret it.
It also looks fantastic with the cherry handle.

Larry, do as you please but WCS charges $45 for the SOC, vintagescent sells them for $28 - however, shipping takes 10-14 days.

I have to be a little biased and say a Omega 10049 Boar brush. Mainly because it is my only brush right now and there are a few Omega brushes I have on my wishlist before I buy a Semogue brush. I do plan on buying a Semogue one day but there are some Omegas that I want and I want a Vulfix. But there gunna have to wait due to the fact that I am a broke college student.

Wow, SOC is pretty dominant. Says a lot. Anyone still have the (08?LE) it was based on to show some pics and/or brag?
