I just picked some Conk's Bay rum up at my cigar shop on a whim and have found it to provide a VERY SLICK and VERY CLOSE shave. Smells good too. It was an incredible buy!

INteresting thread...I recently gave up on the Conk Almond puck that i had, but it sounds like the Bay Rum may be formulated differently. Can anyone attest to this? It appears that this is the case in some earlier posts in this thread, but I'm looking for a definitive consensus on this before I try it again. I'm always looking for a good Bay Rum soap as it's my favorite scent.

I think it is one of those what works best for you things.

For what it is worth, I prefer the almond a great deal more than the BR

Couldn't tell you - Lime burned my face so bad that I can't bring myself to order another puck of Col Conk.

From my experience, the lime is different in a bad way and I don't enjoy using it. It may have some properties that others like, but I don't recall seeing posts by them. Then, the amber is somewhat different from the others in consistency and in how it looks.

For me, the Bay Rum and Almond are near identical. They perform the same. The bay rum has a cooler, Caribbeanesk scent and perhaps the almond has less notes that require an acquired taste, but they are not far apart.
Razors don't shave people. People shave people!

There are three critical types of moments in life: Times when we should use opportunity to be enamoured with finer details, and times we should ignore the minutia.
