Things may have changed since I moved away from SD in June, but I don't thinks so. SD is a barren wasteland...for the most part. There's a L'Occitane in the UTC mall which has the Cade soap, also there is a soap store on the outskirts of old town that has some things, I've purchased Pre-de-Provence from them, for instance. The Body Shop has a very good lather shave cream, and Crabtree&Evelyn have soaps, creams, AS and brushes, lots of goodies. Walmart has Williams, and sometimes Van Der Haagen soaps.
Neiman Marcus has Art of Shaving. I've heard rumors of Truefitt and Hill in a few places but none of the rumors ever panned out. TJ Maxx sometimes has some things if you can bear searching in the fru-fru girly soaps and lotions section-Arran Vetiver, if you can find it, is top notch. If Trumper made a Vetiver (the old Trumper-haven't tried the new stuff yet) Arran would be it...
Henry's marketplace usually has KissMyFace creams as well as Toms of Maine (the mint is quite good IMHO).
DE's and straights can be bought at Merlo's cutlery if you don't mind paying mall prices, Conk soaps are also available there and at the Tinderbox tobacco shop in the mall. Old town sells some soaps too, hit or miss what you will find, I've had one soap that I quite love, and one or two I've not cared for.
I've not found Taylors any of these places, although some time back supposedly TJ Maxx had some, and Proraso was at Target for awhile, but alas, no more. Look for C.O. Bigelow-usually inside a Bath&Body Works store in the mall. Usually it's their Mens/Skin care section. Look for a green metallic tube, but make sure to read it (they also have some that are bodywash, etc) it should say manufactured in Italy by Proraso for CO Bigelow, or something similar-it is as far as I can tell, the same thing as Proraso green.
There are a few other members here that are still in San Diego, who might be able to help even more.
Good luck with your search.

That should get you started, anyway.
yea, ive actually been here for just about 10 years, and wetshaving for just over and year. Its really annoyed me that san diego has absolutley nothing. I usually get all my products at the fine people of Classicshaving.com. all my proraso products i would get from Target but i found out the hard way that they no longer sold products anymore. But thanks for the help! if i find anything good i will definetly pass the word along to you and everyone here.
