Just got the tin of Celtic Talisman...

I took a whiff from the tin and was a little taken aback. Is it supposed to have a weird 'tinge' to it?

lol...i hate the smell/taste of olives so I throw those two in the same category. :)

but seriously, I just don't know how to describe the smell.

Did you check for mold? Rare, but it has been known to happen.

I did. I can't see any. The paper 'wrapping' has a few wet stains on it. I assume from the casing. I was expecting a scent similar to most of the cherry tobaccos i've used. Instead, it's pungent. Maybe I should email the seller. (pipeandtobacco.com) They may have received comments before on the smell (normal or not).
