ID help please

Hello Gents

I have had this razor for a while and always wanted to ask what it is and never got around taking any pictures of it .Looks like a tech but has no date code and does not have any kind of logo on it from Gillette or any other manufacturer only has a patent number on it and nothing else

Looks like it was invented by Joseph Mellon.

In the write up it looks like the slots in the head are for water retention to keep the beard moist.

Its called a self-lubricating razor. Sold one on BST to Suzuki. He did say in another thread that he tried it once and the shave was not bad.

Grand Shave King. The slots are to help it glide through the lather. I have one and it's very mild. Shave is similar to a Tech.

Does yours have any markings on it other then the patent number?

No markings at all. I've seen them on eBay and that's how I know it's name. To tell you the truth, I like mine very much and would like to find one in the box and sold as NOS.
