I seen it for 10 bucks, 5 was for shipping, i trolled the bay, there was cheaper options but shipping to canada was 15 bucks, contacted a vendor that was selling them they only ship with tracking and confirmation which explained the expensive ship, 15 isnt to bad to have it delivered but i didnt research much so ill look into it a bit more tomorrow to see what kind of deal i can get

Just ordering a zippo pipe lighter now. Couple questions ...

I know matches burn at a much lower temperature than butane, and are less likely to char the rim. So I don't want a butane insert. What is the temperature of the standard zippo fuel relative to wooden matches and butane, does anyone know?

Flints and fluid are easy to come by, how about wicks. Does the pipe lighter take the same replacement wick as the cigarette lighters do?

Is it really true that if you let the zippo burn for a few moments, the smell largely dissipates? That is the one area where matches rule. But the zippo looks sooooo much more convenient.

    Thanks!

I have no idea but I would assume it's similar to a match. The nice thing is you actually lay the zippo on the side of the rim and the flame is drafted down into the pipe, theirs not a huge risk of charring the rim this way.

Same wick, but I've been using the same zippo for years and haven't had to change the wick yet.

Yes. Occasionally I'll get a taste of the fluid, but it doesn't taint the flavor the the tobacco, as soon as you move the flame the taste is gone.

    Thanks!

Even a soft flame butane will burn hotter then the regular Zippo ?

Japanese Tiger single torch lighter from Amazon. Works great for my occasional cigar. I liked the slender ergo style.

Since I am at work and unable to post pictures from this PC, I will just send a link to the lighter that I carry for my every day use.

Here is my Triplex. It's kinda cool cause you can pull out the wick part an use it as "match".
