Default Baystate Blue in Flex pens

For me, I've noticed a difference between the saturation/color of BSB in flex pens vs. italics. BSB in my italics are bold, electric and beautiful. The italic nib maintains BSB's violet hue. However, when I use it with a flex nib, it seems to 'water down' the color. It comes out sky blue instead.

Does anyone else have this same problem?

No, I just have problems with Noodler's flex pens in general. I finally got the Ahabs flowing good, but the backside of the feed is very wet. None of my other pens do this. I am so frustrated I haven't picked one up in over a month.

Well it was a Noodlers flex pen I had this trouble in. I just wanted to make sure it was the pen that caused this "watered down" look and not the ink. The ink is hard enough to clean out, I just don't want to stick it in a more expensive pen (Namiki Falcon) and it do the same thing.

Are you sure your feed was dry?

I had mine working real well for about 3 weeks, then I think I looked at it wrong and now it's doing the same old thing...nothing.

The pen I put the BSB in was new and not wet.

I feel your pain- good results for a while, then utter catastrophe. It pisses me off, because I really like the looks of my bumblebee Ahab, being a Steelers fan and all

    Well that's why it doesn't work, you're a Steelers fan. :)

I knew I liked you for a reason. The pain is reciprocal. I had to move 100 miles west to God Forsaken Browns Country.

I lived in Cleveland from 1981 to 1992. There are a lot of Steelers fans there. I miss that city, and I hope one day they field a decent team. They used to be our arch rivals. I LOATHE the Ravens.

On edit: I was born in Steubenville, OH- total Steeler country there
