    Default Root Beer Cologne?

Does anyone know if there are any EDTs or colognes that smell like Root Beer? I know this sounds crazy, but I kinda want some!

This sounds like a Basenotes challenge to me. A quick look through their archives shows root beer-like reviews for Lolita Lempicka au Masculin and Body Shop Activist. Me? I'd rather have Cheerwine.

The women's fragrance Tabu is often described that way. I've seen some reviews that remarked that a vanilla note reminded them of root beer but I can't recall what the scents were off the top of my head and couldn't find it with a quick search. Hope someone else is more help

I say you should just splash some A&W on your face and call it a day.

I tried to see if Demeter made a root beer scent, but apparently not. Demeter specializes in making cheap scents that smell like almost anything you can imagine. They do a good job recreating the scent of everything from soup to nuts, but their stuff is horrifically fleeting. One hour...Maybe less.

Quick search doesn't reveal any thing that smells a lot like root beer. Lolita Lempicka Au Masculine might evoke it a bit. But having worn that one, I would say it doesn't smell a lot like root beer. It's a pleasant anise and vanilla combo.

I've heard Vegas by Playboy and La Nuit De L'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent both smell "rootbeer-ish". Can't really say I remember smelling either one, I think the Playboy one did smell like it a bit when I sampled it at Walmart. Best of luck on your search!

maybe you could rub on some ben gay? most root beer these days is heavy on the wintergreen. you could also order sassafras oil and make your own.

LLaM is more licorice to me than root beer, but I can see where that association could be made. To me, Gucci Pour Homme I has a prominent root beer element to it.

I just wore some Genie de Bois by Keiko Mecheri last week that I thought smelled like root beer. It's a common characteristic of myrrh when used in fragrances. In fact, I have a decant of Luten's La Myrrh that smells like root beer. I'm not a fan.

The Shave Den sells a single note root beer cologne. Its really just a cheap single FO cologne but its not bad for the novelty.

This one made me laugh! Chew a lot of root beer barrel candy and let that smell waft from your mouth? I'm intrigued by some of the responses here, never ever thought of this but root beer is a pleasant scent, makes some sort of sense.

I have to disagree on the Lolita Lempika. It is solid Anise.......no Root Beer to be found. Apparently ymmv on this one. However, I am guessing people who have picked up a root beer not in this fragrance would have to say it is a very minor one. Because like I said, it is pretty anise heavy.

Never understood the American fascination with Root Beer. The version in the UK (known as sarsaparilla over here not Root Beer) is hardly seen these days, and most Brits think it's vile. Plus I don't think the US version is brewed and I suspect calling it "root beer" would breach UK trade descriptions regulations.

Someone described Gucci Pour Homme as smelling like rootbeer. After I heard that I applied it and could definitively see what they were talking about.

Root Beer ! Tu sei pazzo signore? Just kidding, but it sounds WAY too sweet for my taste. I've never seen anything like that on the market but it may be out there somewhere.
