I am not real big on the super hero movies, but I took the boy to see TDKR yesterday. I thought it was pretty good, I did think it was a little long though. I'm not sure what could have been cut, but 2:45 is pretty long to me.

It seemed to be pretty much set up for a sequel, with or without a new actor for Batman.
On a side note, I was disappointed with their selection of villian, but thought Tom Hardy made him a pretty interesting character. Anybody see Bronson?
Bane was the only villain Batman couldn't physically overpower and in the comic books broke Batmans back and made him a paraplegic. I think it was a great choice for a final villain. I think Tom Hardy did a good job but was kinda hard to understand sometimes. Definitely not as good a Legers Joker but overall very good.

I found Bane a little hard to understand at times too. I was pretty surprised when I looked up the actor and recognized him from Band of Brothers. He was huge in this movie, I don't recall him being very muscular in BoB.
Tom Hardy, Bane, really bulked up for his role in Warrior. I'm not sure if he filmed TDKR at the same time or after Warrior.
Here is a before and after picture.

Yeah, I'm a comic reader, so I am familiar with the character (although I wouldn't say he was the first villain Batman couldn't physically overpower, as there have been many). My thoughts were that he was the first "non-classic" villain that they used, and that I enjoyed their re-imaginations of the classic villains, and I wish they had used another. It still turned out better than I had expected.
@oc_in_fw- Yeah, the Bronson movie I'm thinking of has Tom Hardy playing Charlie Bronson, the notorious British inmate.
