What soap will be best for young son (12 years old). He will start shave soon.

MWF
Cella
Proraso
IMHO, aside from AOS sandalwood (probably too strong a smell for a 12 yr old) MWF is the best there is if his skin doesn't react to the lanolin.
Cella and Proraso are all time classics, that he would benefit from the plastic container when he drops it.

A quality shaving stick could be a great choice. Do you have any you can buy locally?

Why not try CI bigeleow shaving cream the tube. Its made by proraso and available at every mall in America via bath body stores
I suggest starting him out with a glycerin based soap. Maybe Mama Bear or QED. Hook him up with the QED Lime!!!!

I gave my son a choice, and he picked Cella. MWF takes a little more work to make a decent lather.

I think the kid would appreciate Arko for the cool logo, fabulous scent, and insane lather.
Aren't shave sticks a little more challenging for guys with newer/softer beards? I've never been thrilled using them on my legs for (I think) this reason.

Another vote for MWF - That's what I started my 14yo nephew on. Mild scent, good lather and nice soap.
OTOH why not just let him use yours?
If he's shaving at 12 you must be descended from some really whiskery ancestors! I didn't start till I was 15 and then it was 17 before I had much at all to shave off!
BTW the Arko post was firmly tongue-in-cheek (I hope!) please don't read literally!

I'd let him go through your soaps and creams and let him pick one based on scent.

Why not just share yours to begin with?
Just tried the VDH glycerin (unscented) and really liked it. Probably would want to keep the scents down due to his age and how his skin will be changing shortly. Also, I have the AOS unscented and really like that one too. Good luck and cheers to you for teaching your son how to shave like a man.
I deffiently agree let him choose which one he wants to try from your stash. Or when you go to order all the products for him then give him a price range and let him choose one or two.
Originally I suggested co Bigeleow based on being so available everywhere. However after reading some posts why not let him select his own. Maybe let him go onto Garry's sample shop on the vendor forum and let him pick a few sample sizes. I think this will get him involved in the enjoyable (or lack of a better term the romance) with wet shaving.
