Close shave, but 2 nicks. I do not really like the Chromas, they give me a close shave, but also produce nicks on a regular basis. I am going to try the feathers next, and then probably back to Astra. So far, they have given me the most comfortable shaves.

Brush: Semogue 1800
Soap: La Toya Stick

First shave with La Toya stick. A little messy on the fingertips but excellent shave. Floid Amber just seemed to match so well with the La Toya scent.

This is a picture I took when I bought the goods from Portugal, which coincidentally was my shave last night.

Can anyone tell me if this is a Semogue 1520 brush? It dind't have a model number, I bought it from La Vida Portuguesa. It's branded Semogue with a sticker but the top half isn't painted white like the 1520 pictures I see online. (They seem to be marked excelsior which could be why the difference)

Hi,

That is a Semogue 1530, with mixed boar/badger hair. Quite a stiff fellow, the boar is one of the Semogue's stiffest and the badger is "pure".

MONDAY EVENING

Weber DLC head with UFO Godzilla handle
Bolzano Superinox (3)
Simpsons Hive Manchurian badger
Proraso green bowl - scuttle lathered
Witch hazel
Institut Karite balm

A shave that was as good as it reads, fully justifying (ahem) my purchase of a Weber ARC head for 'research' purposes.

Hot Shower/ MrGlo
Proraso pre
CO Bigelow/Semogue 620
Gillette Super Speed Z4 TV, Astra SP
Alum
Witchhazel
Proraso green splash
Very DFS
