If someone is willing to pay $50 for that particular razor, then $50 is that razor's
market value. Nothing quite determines and item's value like and auction.
Uh, not quite. A perfectly efficient market assumes perfect information sets on both the buyer and seller's part. A good market assumes good information sets. When newbies have basically NO information set, and bid anyway, you do not have anything approaching an efficient market.
There are broader implications to our current economy as a whole....but we'll stay focused on razors.
