Shave yourself.
I was gifted my birth year Y3 40's style SS by a friend in mint condition. It's a great shaver.
still looking..........![]()
Couple years back my Y-1 40s style Super Speed for $3 at a second hand store minutes after being told all that stuff was sold years ago.
Morale to the story, smile, then look anyway.

You're a young 'un, Mr. Bakerbarber.
I have two birth razors -- a K1 Slim and a Super Speed. I bought the Slim about 4 years ago for $50 in the two-tone blue World Series Special case that I believe was unique to 1965. The Super Speed was a lucky acquisition about two years ago as I was just hunting down this model for my collection without any regard for the date code, but it happened to be a K1. If I recall correctly, I paid about $30 for it.
Both sets are in prime condition.

Those are beauties!
I just had another birthday and attended a wedding where the young bride told my wife and I that she remembered coming to our wedding and that now we were the 'old married couple.'
First time I think I've ever been speechless.
I am still on the lookout for a Black Super Speed to go with my Super Adjustable.
Shave yourself.
A 40's style SS W-1,I forgot exactly but it was around 45 clams.

Have not found it yet ,4th quarter 1982, but would pay whatever I had to![]()
Mines would be 1st quarter 1990, dunno what i'd get haha!
My Z-3 Superspeed was $16, I think. Its in user-grade condition. I'd be willing to pay more if I could find one in better condition, but I've been looking for 3 years and haven't found another one at any price.
By comparison, I bought my brother a Good condition Fatboy F3 for $35 as his birthday present. He has yet to use it, 3 years already.
I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
I gave
$15 for a SS F2 (very good condition)
, and don't even ask me how much I gave for a FatBoy F4 in very good condition
$50 for a NOS '78 SS from my birthquarter.
I did not hesitate to open the blister.
I figured the razor and myself waited long enough.
Joris (not the razor). If you consider it as a hobby, you shave for free.
Black tip ($30)
Super Speed ($23)
Both cased with blades.

Got a '48-'50 (birthyear 1948) SS for about $10. Very nice condition.
Got a 1920 (my father's birthyear) single ring in very nice condition for $30.
Both are very nice razors, purchased within the last 6 months.
Consider myself lucky that my birthyear produced one of the best razors ever made.
