Side Stradle hop from the wet shaving forum's...

Howdy gents. This is my first trip into the finer side of the forums. I am sure this comes up often but..... A month or so ago mom provided me with my grand dad's shave gear. Love it and use it daily. She also sent me pop's pipe. As a none smoker I really know nothing about them. Not sure where to start as far as research goes. I dont mind doing my own leg work and research! Anyway if maybe just a point in the right direction could be had... Thanks gents!!!

Are they any stamps on the wood? The part between the pipe bowl and plastic stem looks like it has some markings,are they readable?

Are there any markings or writing on the pipe? It looks like it was well used in its day and would clean up to be a good pipe once again.

I will check when I return home to be sure. As for use not sure that will happen so much. right now it hold a place of honor right in the middle of my shave cabinet.
