Groom and Clean makes me look like I'm ready to take a mugshot after 4 hours. I love the smell, I love how easy it goes in, but I can't use it. I also have psoriasis on my scalp, which it irritates.

Brylcreem is great, but not for all styles or situations.

Groom and Clean for me, too.

It depends on my mood. However, if I'm starting to get too much pomade or brylcreem build up, I'll switch to Groom and Clean to help clear it out.

Great idea! I'm usually a G&C type, but I think I might switch back after reading this.

I've always been a Brylcreem boy. I have thinning hair so I prefer to use the light hold cream as it doesn't show it up the way gel does, plus it has a kick ass classic scent. Back in the day my hair was a decent length and I used to spike it; out of all the gels I tried, the purple one (I think they call it extreme now) was the closest thing to wax I ever tried.

I don't think they have those versions of Brylcreem around here. They only have the black tubes (in America at least).

The gels also come in black tubes in Europe, our tubes features a colored dot and logo that indicates what kind of Gel it is Purple (extreme/extra hold) Green (strong hold) and Blue (wet look/medium hold). The Gels are also tinted to match their color code

Groom & Clean 95% of the time because of it's hold and ease of use. On some weekends I use Brylcreem for the nostalgia of it. That said, every now and then I use the Pinaud hair gel for a stretch just because it's different.

The barbershop smell seems to be reserved for the cream, classic smell for a classic product. The gels have a sweeter smell like the wax

The Brylcreem name attracted me to it years ago. As a gel it's great. Always felt the real Brylcreem was too greasy.

I get waves in my hair when I use G&C and I brush my hair back, which is the way I usually keep it. I don't care for the waves so I just part my hair with G&C and that works fine.
Brycleem is a bit too greasy for me and it does nothing to hold my hair in place.
    Vote goes to G&C.

    Groom & Clean.

I've tried all kinds of pomade, gel, mouse... products and always come back to groom & clean for pretty much the same reason as everybody else. I use a small dab with thoroughly wet hands to thin it a bit so I can get better and lighter coverage.
