    Default Injector identification

I found an injector at a local supplier for medical and veterinarian stuff. Not sure if it's new or NOS.

Could anyone tell anything about this type?

Type O Schick injector. I believe it's the last injector model made by Schick.

May I ask about the price? I'm really curious because Injectors attract me.

Thanks! I guess I should have searched better.

It's a little over 22 euro's but I do not know what their shipping terms and prices are as they generally only supply to medical sector.

The link on the wiki shows a "twin blade". This sounds like a double blade. Would it take conventional injector blades?

It most likely does but I'm not certain since I don't own one. Some of the other older injector models also had twin blades but work just fine with the current single blades.

This is a great site for ID'ing Schick injectors:

    http://www.safetyrazors.net/schick/schicktech.htm

That looks like the "O" type, but I think those were only sold in Japan and go for very high on eBay and the like (I think I saw one selling for upwards of $200). There was a knock-off made by Nationwide Campus that got not so good reviews:

    http://badgerandblade.com/reviews/sh...njector&cat=44

So if it is a true Type "O", get as many of them as you can. But I have a feeling it is the knock-off. And they should take conventional (i.e. "non-twin") blades.

Could very well be a knock-off indeed. Unfortunately I only have the tumbnail size picture but I see none of the blue trimming as is on every picture I have seen on the web and there seems to be a print near the head which I do not see elsewhere.

If the shipping is fair I think I will order one.

I do not have an injector yet but the GEM Push Button has lit my interest in this type of razor.

The very old types do not have an attraction on me and the later models I have seen are generally too expensive for a used razor (IMHO).

Looks like a Schick Type O to me! This type came with the Twin injector blades, but it will accept normal injector blades as well. This is one of the hardest injectors to find.

It's one of the last ones I need for my Schick collection. The last time I saw one, I did not back up my compulsion with sufficient cash.

I pulled the trigger a few weeks ago but the delivery from the supplier to the vendor was delayed so it arrived today.

I had no reasons to expect an original Schick O-type but considering it's from a medical/vet suppier, I did expect something solid.

Unfortunately, it's a straight razor on a stick. There is no safety bar! Not sure what it was intended for but I will not attempt to shave with it, especially as it does not load the blade very well either. I needed to twist the magazine a bit to load and the balde does not sit reliably on the studs.

Yikes! That thing might cut me just looking at the photos. At least you solved the mystery over whether a local medical/vet supplier has a vastly undervalued stash of Shick "O" type injectors.

Yep, now we know. It would have haunted me for the rest of my life.

Now I have a magazine of injector blades (minus 1) and still no injector. Before I opened the package, I vowed not to acquire any razor for a while as I have quite enough by now. Just not an injector.

Does it have the name Schick on it?

No Schick or any clue to country of origin. Just the number 20 100 008 919 which brought back nothing on google.

It came in a clear unbranded plastic bag with a label with German language.

OK. So, you're not going to try it? Not even once? Maybe just a couple short strokes?

I gave it a stroke on my forearm.

No way I am going to put it near my face but if anyone is up for the challenge...
