Default HD Rocket auction - was I led astray?

Hey folks - so, just won an auction for one of the few razors left that I'm wanting to try: a Gillette HD Rocket. I put in a bid at the last minute that I almost knew wasn't going to be the winning bid, but figured I had to give it a try. As the seconds ticked down, the expected increases in bids weren't coming in as I expected and low-and-behold... I win it surprisingly.

Normally I'd be jumping up and down to be able to cross another one off my list, but my "OMG did I do something wrong" side kicked in and now I'm wondering why this didn't this sell for more (usually in the low $60s to the high $70 in recent tracking)? To add to it, a Gillette MD Rocket by the same seller went for a lot more that I'd have thought. Of course this now makes me wonder - what did I do wrong or am I just looking for fault where there isn't any?

I do not see anything that would concern me.
Every so often enough bidders just happen to be looking the other way and one will slip through.
You just happen to be the one with your spear ready just as the fish tried jumping up the watering falls.........Congrats.

    Hey gang,

thanks for the words of encouragements - I'm comfortable with the razors that I know (most of the US Gillettes) but when coming to these Brit ones, I am still very much a newb and got cold feet when the bid didn't go up like I expected it and had that sinking feeling come over me - this helps me feel better. If all goes well, this will be my most expensive razor to date (previously it was a tie between several $40 razors).

Hopefully the worst of it is this is my panic over it :)

What did you do wrong? Not one bloody thing. Give yourself a pat on the back and take a cookie out of petty cash, you got a great razor.

the seller, jgreist03, is a member here.

I'd say you got that razor at a good price --about the avg. price that I see them going for in the B/S/T, which is pretty good by eBay standards.

Enjoy that beauty. I was keeping an eye on it too.

it always surprises me to get good deals on good razors, so when this went for the average BST price, naturally I was concern on why luck had smiled on me. Thanks all for your words of confidence and I look forward to getting this in the mail!
