    Default My current collection

So after just over a month in straight razors here is my current collection, all but one are shave ready and 4 were honed by lil ole me - badly until today when I decided to give them all a unicot as i havent got the hang of the dilucot yet.
Starting with the blue scales (yes they are homemade and not great but do the job) my TI No 55 which hasnt been honed yet.
Next we have my pimped Gold Dollar - polished a little and honed yesterday.
Next is another home made scale job - really pigs ear but at least it protects the blade, it's a Barbers King that I got with a huge chip in the blade - originally a 7/8 and now rocking in at 6/8 after honing out 2.5mm this morning.
Fourth In line my Solinger Dr Balfanz inox.
Fifth is my first find in the wild, another solingen blade from Fanal.
Sixth place is my Larry of whipped dog fame sight unseen, it's a US razor by Jahn or something (difficult to make out but from the windy city).
Finally my Boker Red injun - apart from larry's razor it's the only one I didn't hone (bar my TI).
Thanks to everyone for helping me get SRAD!

Only a month in the hobby and you already have that pile of razors? I think it might be time for an intervention-"Sir, please step away from the razors and come with us."

    Seriously, though, nice haul

Sadly there are another five or six blades and another Gold Dollar in the basement patiently awaiting me!

I like how your GD turned out!
Me to wife (truth!): "Does she really need all these Barbie dolls? You only need two to have a conversation. Why so many?"
Wife, not skipping a beat: "It's kinda like your straight razors..."

Wow, nice collection. I have been shaving with the straights for about as long and believe I may have as many razors. I am afraid to pull all of the stuff I have gotten together as I don't want to admit how much money I have spent.

    nice....
a nice walk in the woods helps me relax and relieves tension....

the fact i'm dragging a shovel and a body should be irrelevant...

OK, checked the stamp and its actually Jas Hagn & Co Chicago. Can't see anything on Google except that Larry bought it on eBay for USD9.99. Not a bad price, used it this morning and may be a little tarnished but it's a lovely shaver.
