Well...I now know what "soft with backbone" finally means.

Yesterday, when the brushes arrived, I was eager to give them a try. Since I was at the office, I thought it might be a tad inappropriate to lather up at my desk. So when I got home, put the kids to bed, I knew that was my chance. I broke out the Wee Scott and whipped up a nice lather on my face. I didn't have a proper balance of water and cream, but oh, well. It was a great first run with the little brush.

But, I was blown away with my experience (face lathering) with the Duke 2. It held so much, was so soft, and went on like a dream. I had no idea just how floppy my last brush was until the Duke made it into my possession. What might have been the real treat was the size of the handle. It was easy to hold and I didn't feel as if I were "pinching" it like did on previous brush.

I have attached two pics. The first is of my Duke after three passes. The second is post shave, wet.

You can send an e-mail to both Mark or Brett directly at the Vulfix/Simpson factory. Give a look at the contact on their web site www.simpsonshavingbrushes.com

Nice pics! I am now eagerly awaiting my Duke 2 in the mail.
