    Default Rose Gold Plating

Rose Gold is unusual (on a DE razor), but I love it. These are two DE's Dave just finished for me. Can't wait to get my hands on them. I think these latest additions along with my other re-plates will finally end my RAD.

I wish he would answer my PM's about this. I was the one who inquired about rose gold!

    They look great!

+1 on this. I sent him an email close to 4 months ago about an OC plated in rhodium with a common bar handle. He said he would let me know what he had. about 3 weeks later he let me know he had not forgotten about me...hadn't heard a thing since, so after waiting until last week- I ended up ordering a couple of different OC's elsewhere. Oh well. I can only imagine he has about a thousand requests a week.

Anyhow, I am not here to be negative. Dave does great work and your razors are proof of that. Nice pick ups!

I know it's chic at the moment, but I don't get it. Maybe I'm a little color blind. I hate to be the fly in the soup, but does anyone else think it looks like polished brass a little? It reminds me of the Pink Weishi.

I'm sure it doesn't tarnish like brass, but to me I think yellow gold or white chrome or even rhodium is more appealing.

Dave has always responded to my questions and emails. I imagine he's all sorts of busy lately with gorgeous pictures like this surfacing all the time.

My taste is for rhodium and gold. Rose Gold doesn't do it for me.

I've been thinking about a re-do for my comfortably-worn and well-loved '28 Gold New Standard. I think this rose gold is the ticket! Those pictures are dazzling.

Much lighter and richer-looking than polished brass (which also appeals) to my eye, though it's a similar hue.

Rose Gold looks much closer to copper than to brass. However, these razors are gorgeous. I'm simply taken back by how stunning they are.

Very nice. Don't be too sure that your RAD is cured though - it might just be a temporary remission only to spring up again later.

I have read on other forums about people complaining that Rose Gold looks too much like copper. We shall see; the coloring in the photo may differ. Rose Gold is suppose to more red than copper. I actually like it; but it is very un-traditional for a DE razor and definitely a personal preference thing. I don't expect everybody to like it; that's cool.

Actually, copper is what provides the red color in rose-gold. The higher the ratio of copper in the mix, the redder it gets. Copper also provides the reddish-gold coloring of brass and bronze.

Very pretty razors more of the sort of thing SWMBO would like but still beautiful.

RAD never goes away the heat just dies down a little sometimes ... it comes back .. no point fighting it just enjoy the ride.

    I think they are stunning.

SWMBO came over and took a look at them over my shoulder.

SWMBO loves rose gold. I'd plate her razor if I wasn't 95% sure she'd drop it on the second use.

Wow, those are gorgeous. I am waiting for Dave to do a fat boy for me in rhodium. The rose gold is not for me, but they do look nice.
