    Default Schick Injector in carry on luggage question

    I often travel for business and rarely check my bag due to the fees so taking me DE on the road isn't likely. It seems to me that an Injector with blade loaded is similar enough to a cart to pass through security. I found a really nice Schick L1 and ordered it. Next I want to get some blades for it but before I do I thought I should check and see if anyone here has experience with this. Also, any tips on where to find good blades are welcome!

    I wouldn't take it on a plane at all. Since the blade could be removed, my guess is they will take it. I would take a regular cart razor instead.

    The Injector would be treated like a DE razor by the TSA, it would be taken away. Stick with a good cart when traveling by air.

    An Injector is the same as a DE in the eyes of the TSA.

    You can't bring it with a blade in it on a plane in carry on, nor the blades themselves.

    Either check a bag or bring a cart razor with you.

    As an aside;

    If you are travelling for business, then all checked bag fees are reimbursable expenses.

    You might sneak through, but is it worth losing your razor?

    I have resigned my self to using a cart when traveling for only a day or two and carrying on. My travel set up is the Bumpfighter handle, now available at CVS, and the Wilkinson twin blade carts from Walmart.

    I've thought about the exact same thing as the OP but agree with natchez that it's not worth losing your injector. If you really want it, you could always ship your blades to your destination and bring your injector with you. Seems like a bit of a pain to me though.
    Please don't tempt me to buy anymore.
