    Default Shaving Mall

So I am finally about to start selling a few things here. Just a couple questions:

    1) I am in Canada...is it cheaper to ship to other Canadians or Americans? Around how much is shipping? I'm guessing I should be including the shipping cost in the product price.

    2) Is it sufficient that I just have a paypal account? I have only sent money from Paypal before but never received. Is there something I need to do besides having my credit card info linked to paypal?

Any other tips would be appreciated as well. Thanks guys!

    1) Depends where you ship, size and weight of the box. Have a look on Canada Post website. There's no flat rate within Canada...
    2) From memory, you need to upgrade your paypal account to a premium account to be able to receive money. If not, I think paypal ask you the first time if you want to upgrade to accept the money... You could use any type of payment, it's between you and the buyer. Most use paypal...

I'm sure it is cheaper to ship within Canada than to go across the border. When I send to Canada it is a couple buck more. PayPal is fine, most folks who buy and sell have an account. You'll need to link your PayPal to your checking account if you want to receive your money, unless you are just going to spend it again with PayPal. You can either list items as a set price including shipping, or list the shipping seperately, your choice.

I wouldn't make that assumption Vez. It is more expensive for someone in the US to ship to Canada than shipping CONUS but I've heard that is not true for Canadians. From what I've read it can be cheaper for a Canadian to ship to the CONUS than it is to ship within Canada.

So I upgraded to a premier account (didn't have to pay anything?). Do I enter my bank information into my account so I get money straight to my checking account?

If that's where you want your money, yes... It's up to you if you want to share your bank's information on the net.
