Light rust and pitting on Dad's Dovo Astrale. DIY - or send it in for refurbishing?

It's a great razor - and I'd like to use it - but the rust and light pitting over the gold inlay on the blade has me concerned. Any place I can send it, or is this a DIY project with the right supplies? CLR rust remover?????

Pix? If you have rust on the gold wash, that's really tricky to do. To be honest, I've not tried, but a tiny bit of chemistry and/or rubbing tend to remove the gold wash very easily. I'll leave others who have tried answer for real. Regardless, a picture is worth a jillion words with most stuff like this. Stick one up here and you'll get lotsa responses, I bet.
