Kershaw Chive, I love the size and the open assist. Great knife for EDC to me, but I really have been eyeing a Benchmade Mini Griptillian lately.

Tomorrow I'll carry this knife . . . Big Swede by Normark / Eka Sweden. I've had this knife over 30 years and used it to dig out roots in the garden for the last few years and before that it was my camp knife used for cutting rope and well . . . whatever one gets up to around camp sites. I just put a scotchbrite finish on it and brought back the edge to razor sharp. For a knife that looks like nothing special it has always kept a good edge.![]()
I typically take out one of my traditional slipjoints from Great Eastern Cutlery on a daily basis. The knives are so great that it's really hard to pick just one EDC.
Here's my collection:

Kershaw OD-1 flipper. Super sharp, easy to sharpen on my DMT dual grit diamond file, holds a good edge, and opens in a split second. Have used it for everything from opening letters to cutting my steak at our company steak party in the spring. I also have a cheap "winchester" knife for tasks I might not want to risk breaking the Kershaw. Prying, or cutting something that might lead me to slip the blade into dirt or something hard. Not good at holding an edge and takes a lot of work to sharpen, but is sharp enough for most tasks. If I break it, I'm out $2.50 (bought from a yardsale).
Just a little carbon steel Peanut. Where I live it's shorts just about year round, so if you want to always have it with you, it helps to keep it small. On the horizon, a nice Damascus steel Doctor or Toothpick, the better to cut some of the tropical fruits available at all the outdoor markets around here.

Lately a Leatherman Sidekick. It has a belt clip and thumb open blade (and thumb open sawblade as well)
I rotate knives, but for the last few days I've been carrying these two.

I rotate my EDC between a Chesnut Bone Case Peanut in CV and a Genuine Stag Case Peanut with Devin Thomas Raindrop Damascus.

Generally a Gerber S30V
Sometimes a Gerber 06 Auto just for the cool factor.
Been meaning to get a Case bone of some sort, but it never crosses my mind at the right time.
I still prefer folders.
I mostly carry a Case Baby Butterbean. When out in the country it is swapped for a yellow-handled Case Mini Trapper.

My EDC is a Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 21 with African blackwood inlays. A bit pricey but it's as close to perfection in a pocket knife as I've ever come across.
btw...a very similar post here http://badgerandblade.com/vb/showthr...e-do-you-carry with 82 pages of responses.
I think I want a Mer-gress
