    I think I should also join in! I face lather exclusively unless it is for the purpose of breaking in or defunking a brush Mashing Arko down a bowl and lathering it up really defunks a stinky horse!

    Face lathering is very practical. No scuttle, therefor no cleaning, no space needed,... Lately using sticks (Palmolive, TOBS) and like them very much.

    Oh man, took me 5 months to realize what i was missing out on here. I tried this for the first time on Saturday, and boy! Why would i let a bowl get all the scrubby love?

    Count me in! I started face lathering about three weeks ago because I was out of town on vacation and only packed my Palmolive stick, razor, and brush. I stuck with it after I got home and then today I bowl lathered experimenting with a super-lather. I did not enjoy it as much and I could swear my shave quality was just a bit lower. So I'm converted! Now I just need a better brush. My current selections are a little too cheap and scritchy for me.

    You can count me in as well. I purchased a bowl when i was first buying stuff getting ready to shave because thats what most everyone does in the videos on youtube, but found it to be a waste of time and i missed out on all that good face massaging you get from lathering on the face. i face lather all my creams, vdh and other soft pucks. williams is the only exception, and gets lathered on the puck in a green rubber marvy mug.

    Have a bowl-rarely use it(not once this year, so far);

    Have a scuttle-use it for keeping my brush warm;

    Have 62 soaps vs. 17 creams;

    Never use my Chubby 2 or Canica Chubby w/ creams;

    yeah, I'm in!

    You must not wear glasses. About 5% of my lather always finds it's way to occlude my bifocals.

    I have been exclusively a bowl latherer since I started (seemed easier to learn) with a sporadic face lather here and there. I never did well with it.
    I face lather successfuly this morning with some arko. Not sure if it changed the quality of my shave much, but it was nice not having to clean the bowl and will come in handy if/when I travel.

    So I don't know if I am part of the club yet, but I plan on face lathering for awhile to see if I can get the hang of it

    I've been face lathering for a l-o-n-g time. I load my brush or apply product in a half-dozen ways, but always build the lather directly on my face. Tried bowl lathering for a week some months ago, but quickly bored of it. Count me in!

    Wow! I am late to this thread but I am an unashamed, unabashed face-latherer! The only time I bowl-lather is to get a cream started and then I always complete the lather by face-lathering. Count me in!

    Judges? Looks like we have a bowler trying to sneak in.

    Creams start just fine on the face, man! Ditch the bowl!

    It's how I've always done it. Just seems more efficient to me. Only use soaps, boar and badger brushes. EJ DE89.

    Does that mean I can sit with the cool kids at lunch now? I was getting lonely facing the wall in my corner.
