    Default Motorcycle Opinions

I know everyone has one, so what's the opinion on the Honda CB550Four? I know the CB750's had a pretty massive following, but there's a very nice 550 near me that's at a very nice price. My only real concern I suppose is the age. Being a 76, there probably aren't many parts available for it. If it was the 750, I wouldn't be so worried since there's a pretty large aftermarket for them, but the 550 support seems thin on the ground.

i dont know much about the honda cb550 but I can tell you this spend the time on the net and forums for the bike because having a car/bike you cant find parts for or have to spend twice as much for wears thin on the soul and wallet and gets old fast.

Also keep in mind the other makes and models that are close to the model you like you will be shocked to see how many different parts will fit, and or complete change outs if need b

I have now and in the past owned bikes and cars out of production and know the troubles all too well of hunting down the smallest part or not being able to get what you need or want its a task not ment for some.

IMO the 550 is a better bike all around.... Its lacking the straight line performance of the 750 but its a beautifully balanced motorcycle.. It has fun power, makes all the right noises, silky smooth engine and in general is significantly more refined this most classic motorcycles.

What era are we speaking of, I really only have expierience with the SOHC classic Honda's?

I would think aftermarket support or parts availability would be almost identical.
