Default SE Razor That Uses DE Blade?

Is there a SE razor that can use a DE blade?

I understand that with a little tweaking a 1914-style has enough snap to hold a DE blade in place, but I've not tried it personally. Others have also fashioned holders for half DE blades out of old SE blades.

Personally, it just seems to be a bit much trouble when I get perfectly pleasant shaves with GEM SS blades that are readily and cheaply available.

You can trim a DE with a quality pair of scissors and plunk it in a 1914 or 1912 rather comfortably. I have experimented with Feathers and Astras as my fav two blades and found that they work rather well. I don't usually bring this up because folks tend to snicker and pass judgement for some odd reason.

    Works good though.

How do you do it, sounds like it will be too dangerous to use.
