I'd like to find a lather catcher in decent functional shape. I really like the ones with wooden handles. What's the price range for these? Any one model preferable?
Thanks gents!

I have a ever ready lather catcher that I got for 35$.
Currently enrolled in Dr. Drew's HAD Rehab.
Depending on condition, I have paid from $30 to over $70 for one.

Thanks gents! Very helpful. Now I have a sense of fair market value.

Sorry I didn't have time last night, but here are some pictures... I just hate to see you pay a lot for something for which you can't use modern blades. I tried to get a close-up so you could see that the main issue on these is to get one that has the little "nubs" or "razor stops" that stop the sharp end of the blade from moving forward any further once the blade is loaded. In other words, the blade stop on the right hand side of the picture is right above my little finger.
These GEM Junior Bar razors also have the blade stops, great shavers.
The ones like this with the ornate writing also have the razor stops.
Here's a picture without the flash so you can see detail without reflection that shows one with the wooden handle like you had mentioned that does have the stops, I've shaved with it, and then the two on the right (Comfort razor & STAR Victorian) that don't have the stops, so you can't use modern blades well with them.
Here's a picture of these three showing no blade stops on the two on the right.
I think that's all the pics it will allow. I'll put another post with the other type that won't accept modern SE blades.

Recently I have scored several around $30 to $40.
What's a little loss of blood in the big scheme of things?
You just have to watch ebay, but they generally don't come cheap. Only other option would be to find a B&B member who's willing to give theirs up. They do shave well

It is not always easy to spot the blade stops - particularly if you buy on eBay. It is necessary to either identify the particular razor model and year, or try a blade directly in it.
As an example, I have a Comfort razor, manufactured in Germany, very similar to the Comfort posted above, and I get wonderful shaves with mine. It is not always easy to tell, but look carefully for appropriate stops and try a blade if you have a chance.
