Default What is a good AS for moderate to very oily skin?

My mother gave me these wonderful genetics that make my skin incredibly oily. Though I know I will look younger longer, it's a pain trying to use a lotiony AS. Does anyone have experience with AS's that would work well with my greasy face?

I have oily skin and use alcohol or witch hazel based splashes. Check the labels or reviews for this and you should be set.

A quick list of some products I have used are:

    Plain Witch Hazel
    Aqua Velva
    Old Spice
Proraso(old version but new version is supposed to be as good or better)
    Alt-Innsbruck
    Floid blue
    Floid genuine
    Pinaud and Pinaud vanilla classic
    Nivea Energy
    A homemade blend
and though I haven't tried them, Speick and La Toja are on my list.

Have the exact same problem. So I use only alcohol based AS splashes mostly. If the air gets really dry like in winter, I will mix a dab of Cornhuskers lotion with whatever AS splash I have chosen for that day and mix in my hand before applying to face. Cornhuskers is the only 'lotiony' type balm that doesn't turn my face oily and shiny. Haven't used Skin Food, but I'm thinking it should work well also.

I have oily skin and my splashes are Clubman and Booster Polar Ice. Others I've tried like Proraso and The Shave Den products are fine too, I just didn't love their scents.

Speick ASL would be a good choice.

I also have oily skin. I have found that alcohol based work great. Stay away from anything that has glycerin in it, for it will leave your face sticky & gooey to the touch all day.

I have pretty oily skin too. I concur with others who just suggest an alcohol or witch hazel based splash. Bigelow Bay Rum is a great balm, however. My skin just seems to drink it in. Stay away from Cade ASB.

Alcohol will promote oil production. Use tap water or witch hazel.

I would recommend many of the Myrsol aftershaves. I'm pretty sure none of them have glycerin.... a couple of them have allentoin and/or sorbitol. The Myrsol Metilsol astringent leaves my face feeling very toned, slightly tight and smooth. It contains potassium alum which can be slightly drying. I have normal skin so if anything I might have to follow up with a balm of some kind..... except for this time of year with the hot, humid weather in Ohio a balm is not necessary. All of the Myrsol splashes have alcohol and menthol so I would think they would be pretty much ideal for oily skin.
