In order, I would say
1. La Famiglia
2. Classic
3. Artisan
4. KL/888
The classic and artisan series are very close. I think I get ever so slightly slicker lather from the classic series than I do the artisan, but with the death of XXX (I wont touch the Classic or Cacao, hate those scents) I dont see myself ordering the Fresco over a better scented option from the Artisan series.
The KL/888 aren't bad at all, I really do enjoy my KL. My problem with them is that they cater to an audience who likes a "creamier" lather. I can get it yogurty like I enjoy it, but it lacks slickness, which to me is the name of the game. I also have pretty oily Italian skin, so all the butters and lanolin are overkill for me, I find that the La Famiglia line leaves my face feeling just as soft and moisturised.
The La Famiglia is my absolute favorite. I love the scents, the latherability, the post shave feel, the simplicity of the ingredients, and the slickness is out of this world. If I was only allowed to have one RazoRock soap product in my den, this would be the series I would choose from, not that you could go wrong with any of them.
You really owe it to yourself to give them all a shot. There isnt a dud in the group and they all perform marvelously, just the subtle differences in each one that make them unique. Try and see which one works best with your skin and shaving technique.
Must admit, with all the love La Famiglia was getting the last couple of months, I am surprised that the Artisan line is developing such a healthy lead.
They're all fairly close though, which shows that RazoRock puts out 3 (or 4) great product lines. Well done Joe!
What? Over? Did you say "Over"? Nothing is over, until we decide it is!
Just a bit of a bump since people have had an opportunity to try the new soaps in the Artisan line and La Famiglia.

I don't have any experience with RazoRock until today. My RR cacao was delivered. The scent is absolutely fantastic. It's my first soap of any kind, and I'm very anxious to try it out.
nobody loves me but my mother, and she could be jivin' too
personally i think it depends on what u like.
for that proraso texture- la famiglia. I love this stuff. slick and lathers great and fast. I have the il pepino (tobacco leaf)
The artisan is the tallow based formula and personally I like my arko (tallow).
BUT i have not used the artisan line. I will continue to buy the la famiglia series line.
Question for you gents who use(d) the xxx and the santa maria. How would you rate it to the soaps it is meant to compare to (ADP and SMN collectively).
Thank you

I understood his post to mean Laboratori Cibe made it.

i'm still loving the "shea butters" the best....
I actually recently sold off my beloved King Louis, as I had acquired some other Lavender scent soaps/creams (MdC, CF, AOS etc) that I prefer the scent of more, but am still using the KL Wax. After using MdC, CF and AOS, I didn't find the KL as pleasing to my nose as I did when I first got it or perhaps my tastes have changed. I found it almost baby-powderish smelling but not overpowering, but performance was still top notch. I did however keep the wax to use post shave with my kept Lavender soaps/creams.
I just finished a shave and post shave ASB wax with the 888 and am still amazed and how easy it is to lather and how well my face feels after the shave. To be honest, outside the history of MWF, it doesn't offer anything that 888 can't do. Lathers easy (1/2 the time or less then MWF), post shave feel is great, price is right, scent is pleasing but not overpowering. I know they are different products (hard soap vs soft soap), but it has me wondering if I'll refill my MWF when the time comes....but probably still will.
The 888 doesn't get much forum time, but I'm not sure why. with SMN and Proraso taking up most of the Eucalptus talk, I have no idea why 888 is left behind. For the price and quality of the shave, I'm not sure my pursut of SMN will be going on any longer.
Any time I start thinking about trading for or purchaing SMN (not the S.Maria RR cream), I pull out the 888 and wonder why I waste my time thinking of SMN, when 888 works so well, cost so little and leaves my face feeling so good.
I finish the shave with 888 wax (and it's my go-to ASB when camping, as it does have an earthy scent to it), but like the others waxes, the scent fades quickly and leaves my face feeling great.
Along with the Classic, they are the only 2 RR soaps/creams/croaps in my den (outside a mixed one with QCS that I made), but would welcome any future Shea Butter RR soaps to my collection (provided the scents were appealing to me).
I think I voted for the Artisan series, but I am starting to like the La Famiglia soaps more and more. Right now I guess I'd give a slight edge to the La Famiglia, but it's narrow. They are both great soaps.
