Default 1st Shave with MySingle Edge.

Got home from work to find my blades had arrived, so I can finally try the G-Bar. I rarely shave twice a day, but since I have kind of a long day, there's enough time to justify an evening shave.

Wow, maybe it's because I'd been using a milder razor this past couple of days, but that's a heck of a shave. I like a lot of feedback, let's me know when I'm hitting the sweet spot, and the G-Bar's large flat head was a wall of sound. I could really feel the blade on this one. Surprising, as I assumed this would have a shave quality like a Superspeed. Despite this, I didn't feel I was at risk of cuts or nics. Also, it was very intuitive to adjust from double edge.

I only picked up the G-Bar because of it's looks, but I think it'll be batting second.

Of the three SEs, 1912, Clog-Pruf, and Gbar, the Gbar seemed the "quietest" on audible feedback, to me, although it shaved quite well. IMO, I get a slightly closer first pass from my Clog-Pruf than anything other than my Injector razors. Both kinds of SEs do such a great job on the WTG pass, it's practically already a DFS, just as soon as I do a little cleanup on the end of my chin, and just below the jawline, where I always need to buff a little to finish.

Just looking at that Gbar, though, I had to have one.

The G-Bar is my weapon of choice. An excellent razor to wade into the inviting pool that is SE shaving.

The G-bar is indeed an awesome looking razor. It's also one of the mildest of the Gem family which makes it an excellent choice for an introduction to SE shaving.
