My tub is appx. six months old and it appears to have 80% remaining. I do however rotate it with other creams.
I find the scent really nice and it lathers like a champ.
You got me to thinking how long any shaving cream will generally last.
The standard measure people tend to use around here is "An almond sized dollop". So how big is an almond? The average weight seems to be about 1.2g. However, creams are measured volumetrically i.e. in milliliters or fluid ounces. Using this online converter http://convert-to.com/594/almonds-am...r-almonds.html it gave me a volume of 1.99ml for each almond.
So, with an estimate of 2ml used for each shave (assuming you accidentally pick up an extra 0.01ml - your almonds might be slightly bigger than mine), you will get 75 shaves from a 150g tub of TOBS.
Used exclusively for 6 shaves a week, your tub will last 12 and a half weeks or nearly 3 months.
Can you tell I'm having a quiet day at work?
I also rotate soaps and creams. But,I would say long enough that I feel like I got a good value and a nice shave from TOBS.
Someone has let me loose with the calculator again!
Assuming 150ml per pot and 100ml per tube (conservative estimates), with 6 shaves a week, I reckon you've got 15 years of cream on your hands there Claus!
I've been using a different cream from TOBS, but after about 4 months of shaving 3 times a week, plus shaving my head, I have about 15% left. For reference, I got almost a year out of a tub of Truefitt &, Hill with the same schedule.
If you use a 5oz tub of cream everyday, that is 7 shaves per week, you should expect about 8 weeks of continuous use. 12 weeks at the outside. You may get a little more or less depending on how much cream you're using per shave. If you have hard water you'll need to use more. If you have soft water you'll need to use less.
TOFLAC-U, AOM, LEMS/ Stay back! I have a Merkur, and I know how to use it!
My one tub of TOBS Eton College, used about 12 times a month, lasted me a good 8 months. If you rotate it, then it will last even longer.
I think people tend to use more cream if it's from a tube. Assuming seven days a week use, I'd say 3 months for a 5 oz tube. For a tub of the same amount (Tobs) maybe 4 or 5 months tops.

I'm projecting my tub of another tobs cream to last a very long time. Although I just it in a rotation with some other products, I'm guessing it would last 2 months of daily use with the amount of product I use (I don't skimp on the amount of cream I use).
I use this mostly and probably use a bit more than the dollop. After 7 months I still have 1/2 tub left, so I'm going to say 12 to 15 months averaging 4-5 shaves a week.
My TOBS Sandalwood lasted me 5 months of nearly continual use.
Edit: Forgot to add that I shave on average 6.5 days a week.

Paul - Cartridge to shavette: 4/20/2011. Shavette to straight: 10/13/2011.
I only use tube creams so far and they last about 3 months +/- a week or two. They are the proraso 5 oz tubes. I shave about 6x a week.
I can't help you on the tub but thought I could confirm what some of the math wizards are formulating.
A tub lasted me almost six months of shaving every other day. Now I'm rotating, probably much longer!
