Just shaved with it this night. Amazing soap with a well deserved reputation. Just for kicks I decided to see if I could get a decent lather under ten swirls. Five clockwise and four counter clockwise then proceeded to face lather. Well, I did a four pass shave with an additional two "light" & "watery" application of lather for touch up. I then proceeded to palm lather and was in awe of the amount of lather I was producing which was enough for another two passes! Obviously I loaded to much! Lol. I'm laughing at the memory of how little ones needs of this soap. Tomorrow I'll do seven swirls with my Parker silvertip :)

Gone Grey I received my order today. They included a small olive soap as well. The olive soap has a very strong scent, I could smell it as soon as I opened the door for the mailman. I loved the MdC shave soap scent. This might cure my SSAD that was starting to kick in. Still want to try the new Coconut RR and Modder Focker Soap maybe late August when they are back from vacation. Will probably order a sample of Cella from Gary soon. I think MdC and RR MdB will be my rotation for a while. Dont think my Proraso and RR XXX will get much love.

Used MdC this a.m. after it being out of rotation for a spell. Wow! It truly does deserve it's reputation.
Just a perfect lather with my Tulip 2-2. It requires so little that it could outlive me. Martin De Candre is is truly
unique product that I always enjoy having back in regular rotation.

Well thanks to the never ending rave reviews and after much debate I have finally pulled the trigger on an mdc order. Now just need to play the waiting game.

Since the sale is still going and the Euro is weak right now, I went ahead and bought some more MdC last night.
There's no such thing as too much MdC is there?

Not at all my friend. Let me also suggest loading up on their bath soaps the next time you place an order. I don't think I'll ever use anything else again.

Ordered a sample from Gary to see if I want to drop the coin on this magic soap. Baby steps.

Now that's a good idea. I got a sample of the bath soap in my first order, but I haven't had the chance to use it yet.
I will make a mental note about the bath soap for when I place my next order.

Lol, no, there can't be to much MDC. Might get a second opinion from Brucered though.
Anyway, I'm testing via baby steps how little of this soap I actually need as some goes wasted. So I did an eight rotations or swirls inside the jar four one way four the other. My method was to warm up my Parker Silvertip and then set it inside the MDC while I put my razor/blade together. The results? Great goobers! I had enough alright. After a five pass shave with a combination of scrub and face painting I palm lathered it to see what was left. With a gentle squeeze of the Parker Silvertip I was able to extract what's pictured. Eight swirls and it still left enough. Mind boggling. I will say at this point I felt some of the slickness having been lost and leaving plenty of fluff. Hard to explain. If anyone has doubts I hope I eased them. Cheers!

For the next week I'm only going to shave with MdC and a Merkur 37G loaded with only Feather blades just to see what happens. The MdC seems to be a great pair with this setup so far.

Well, lathered up some of my MdC sample this afternoon and loaded a Shark SS in my new Fatboy (first time using also, set to 3) and proceeded into an attempt for the 4 pass BSS (WTG, XTG, XTG, ATG) after two days of growth. Wow, best shave yet and by far the best results on my usually sensitive neck. And that scent! It just doesn't quit, I can still smell it in the bathroom where the soap container is sitting open drying. Love it.

I really want to wait and ask for a full container for Christmas, but it's hard to pass on the current pricing. Fortunately I have a lot more soap and cream samples to go through currently, so I don't really need any more right now . . . Right?

WRONG! Just buy it. You will absolutely not regret it.

Received my sample yesterday. Got home way too late to even be bothered to shave. I'll give it a go tonight. Not so sure on the smell.

I got the L'Ami and SWMBO is loving the aesthetic. Means I get more shaving gear on display!
As for the soap itself. It is all I expected and more - phenomenal.
