    Default MJ's shave soaps

    Hey guys,

I am looking at getting some Maple Cream shaving soap from MJ's soap shop, and was wondering if anyone has tried any shaving soaps from MJ's.
I'm a maple head Canuck all the way, and am anxious to try this new shave soap out. Just wondering how MJ's compare to the big boys as I have never tried shave soap from a smaller store that crafts by hand.

    Thanks,
EJ89, Astra SP, Omega Silvertip, XXX, & Pinaud Bay Rum.

    Thanks,

Here are my comments from awhile back.

I think Celestino out in vancouver is the one who told me about this stuff, i haven't tried it myself but i know he thought highly of it

It's not my fault, it's James' blame him

I did a few searches on MJ's as I am newer and hadn't heard of them before. There's not a ton of information out there on them, but there was enough that I placed an order on Sunday for their Maple Cream and some Pina Colada soap.

Haven't heard much about the Maple Cream but if nobody chimes in with info, I'll update this once it arrives.

I picked up the Lime and Coriander. cvac's review is dead on - slippery, protective, very light fragrance with no fajita smell. A very enjoyable soap, although the one thing I would change is making the fragrance stronger. It is very mild. Still, I would definitely get this again.

After a bit disappointing experience with mama bears soaps I decided to order two bars of MJ's today so I went for the pina colada and maple cream (I took the last one, sorry guys ). The reviews here were all in favour for it, even the one claiming it had a light scent which was my problem with mama bears. Liked the scents I got but they were just too much for me so I ended up with this weird headache but got a pretty good shave even though it didn't seem to play all that nice with my skin

Hi Unkas, your soaps are shipping today. I have a few Mama Bear's soaps, they make great lather, but her scents are a little bit strong. My face is pretty sensitive to strong fragrances. I just left mine open for a couple of weeks and they were fine to use after. I hope that helps! FYI, I'll be making more Maple Cream, it was more successful than I would have imagined :)

I'm glad to hear they're on the way! I will do as you said and try to let the soaps air out for a while in hopes it will make the soaps agree better with my face and my nose.
Looking forward to trying your soaps but I just have one question about them.. What is the diameter of the pucks? I will need to find a suitable container for them so it would be nice to know before I get them here so I can use them as soon as they arrive!

I think their products look fantastic, but $13.00 for shipping in Canada on 2 shave soaps a lip balm and body butter for the wife is pricey... too pricey

I think that is not so high if it is shipped to Germany. Same shipping as pretty much everyone else across the pond!
